It’s like ‘No, racism just looks different today we’re not shackled in chains working on plantations. Or they know it is real but they think it’s been over since slavery ended. “I do feel like it opened up the eyes of a lot people who would think the police are that bad and that racism’s not real. “What happened definitely did bring people together,” Wallner says. He says it brought people together while showcasing that racism is still alive. The list goes on and on and it doesn’t stop happening.”īut there are some positives Wallner pulls from the situation. Especially for African-Americans and other minorities who are forced day-in and day-out to be reminded of, whether it’s Jacob Blake, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Elijah McClain. “They can clean up Kenosha, open the roads back up and we can assume our day-to-day life,” Wallner says, “but it’s not ever really truly normal for people. You don’t get to witness it first hand how it can destroy your city and separate people more than they’re already separated.”Īccording to Wallner, things will never be or feel the same in Kenosha after the tragedy. You hear about the shootings what happened to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor on the news. “It was very chaotic, a lot of anger,” Wallner says. He raced down there and stayed at the scene from shortly after the shooting happened until 1 a.m. The officer says he thought Blake was trying to attack him with a knife Blake was holding after Blake opened the driver’s door to his girlfriend’s vehicle and tried to reach inside.Īctivist Isaac Wallner in Kenosha “remembers everything” as he says it’s a day you “definitely cannot forget.” He was home and got a phone call from a friend saying a police officer had just shot a black man in the back. – Tuesday is the 2nd anniversary of the Jacob Blake shooting in Kenosha where a police officer shot Blake 4 times in the back and 3 on the side paralyzing him. They are slimy, dishonest, lack any integrity and took complete advantage of me and my situation.KENOSHA, Wis. Car Castle should not be allowed to remain in business and continue to scam and take advantage of people. Once the police came, I had my money within 30 minutes. This is definitely not the path I originally wanted to take, but I felt as though Car Castle gave me no choice.

Umm, I think the radiator, gas tank, catalytic converter, exhaust, and springs (to name a few of problems) are pretty important! Under the advice of my mechanic, I called the police. They also claimed that the issues weren't that bad and didn't really affect the driveability of the car. This haggling went on for hours, yet they refused to talk to my mechanic about the issues. They kept saying that my mechanic was just trying to make money off of me by trying the make the car brand new. Since I was within the 15 day time limit, I just wanted my money back. I made an appointment to return to the dealership. All of these issues made the car unsafe to drive. He gave me a laundry list of major issues that would cost me about $3k to fix. The day I brought the car home, the engine light came on so I took it to my local mechanic who has serviced my vehicles for 25 years. This was my first time buying a used car by myself. I purchased a cheap car ($4k) for the kids (new drivers). I'm the idiot who initially gave this place five stars.

This is the review that I left for that location. The owner of this place also owns Car Castle (1800 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL).
